a little news from the Watkins'

Well, it has been awhile since anyone has posted anything so I thought that I would break the silence! And since I have a little bit of news it is a perfect oppurtunity!
Ryan and I have recently found out that I am pregnant! We are both really excited, well I am excited when I am not throwing up! Ryan, well he is just pretty much excited! I am about 2 months along and will be due the end of April! We feel very blessed, it has been something both of us have wanted for awhile and so we were a little in shock when we found out it was actually real! The baby will coming at the perfect time, because I will just teach until he or she is born and then take the rest of the year off! So everything is working out very well!
I hope that everyone is doing well! I was sad to miss another Peach Days! I always get a little extra homesick around this time! Oh and if anyone has any anti nausea suggestions, I am open to them all! Yeah I am not having morning sickness, it is more like around the clock sick! But it will be good, I only have another month left, right?
Well take care!
Holly:)

Congratulations Holly and Ryan! I am way excited for you guys! :) As for anti-nausea suggestions, I have heard that nibbling on saltine crackers throughout the day helps. Also I have heard that drinking luke warm water (if you can stand it) may help, too. Do you have the book called "What to Expect When You're Expecting"? I highly recommend it! It has tons of help on every little thing and probably loads more anti-nausea suggestions. Again, congrats we are so happy for you guys!!!! :)

We are working on getting Matt to move to PHX, the hope is he will be there before thanksgiving and that calls for a visit! We would love to see you guys! We Miss Phx and our great friends there SO much! Good luck with everything (As for Nausea I'm not to much help with that.) there better be some pictures as you get further along though! You are in our thoughts and prayers during this exciting time!

Congrats!!!! I am so so so so so so excited for you! I had Miles April 12th and it was the perfect time! Totally missed RSV season. As for nausea, obviously the emptier your stomach is the more nauseous you will be, so many small meals and snacks. Someone suggested ginger pills, but instead I just used powdered ginger and cinnamon in hot apple juice in the morning. It really helped. If you've heard of Preggie Pops the main ingrediant in them is ginger. As far as pregnancy books, I really liked "Your Pregnancy, Week by Week" (it shows the baby's development on a weekly basis intead of monthly which I really liked)and then my Hypnobirthing Book.

Congrats! That is so great! Babies are wonderful! As far as nausea, the saltine crackers made me gag. I actually stopped taking my pre-natal vitamins and the throwing up stopped. The Iron in them gave me terrible head aches and caused me to throw up. My doc said if I was taking them and throwing up it was not very useful, so he was okay with me not taking them. Good luck! I hope things get better!

That is so exciting, Holly! I am so happy for you two and hope the nausea dies down soon for you. I couldn't imagine teaching with that feeling all day. Good luck to you and hope things go well for you.
